Rave Accessories Checklist — What to Actually Bring in 2026
Festivals and raves have a gear problem. Most packing lists are written by people who've never been — they tell you to pack sunscreen and a portable charger and call it done. This list is different.
Built for this? See GoBlow for festivals.
The essentials (no debate)
- ID and cash — Some venues still don't take card at the bar.
- Earplugs — Get fitted musician's earplugs or Etymotic ER20s. Protect your hearing.
- Phone battery pack — 10,000 mAh minimum. This is non-negotiable.
- Water bottle — A collapsible silicone bottle packs flat and refills at most venues.
Carry essentials (the tools people forget)
- Cacao carry spoon — If you carry botanicals or cacao, a precision pendant spoon keeps things clean and discreet. The GoBlow pendant tool has a sealed magnetic closure and reads as jewellery to anyone who doesn't know.
- Gum or mints — Compact and useful. Makes you an instant ally.
- Small zip pouch — Keeps small items from rattling loose in a pocket.
- Hair tie and bobby pins — Even if you don't have long hair. Someone near you will need these by 2am.
What to wear
- Layers — A light jacket that packs into a bag means you're comfortable at 10pm outside and at 3am when the crowd thins.
- Shoes you can stand in for 6 hours — Test them before the event.
- Pendant jewellery that does something — A carry pendant that serves a function is a conversation starter. Gold, rose gold, and rainbow finishes catch light well in dark venues.
- Cross-body bag or belt bag — Keeps hands free. Backpacks are difficult in tight spaces.
Health essentials
- Electrolytes — Dancing for hours sweats out more than water replaces.
- Glucose tablets or snacks — Emergency blood sugar. Most venues have bad food.
- Wet wipes — For everything.
For multi-day events
- Sleeping gear rated colder than you expect — Tent temperatures drop fast at night.
- Cable lock for your tent — Effective against opportunistic theft.
- First aid kit — Hydrocolloid blister patches specifically. Fabric plasters fail in the heat.
Leave behind
Leave your good watch at home. Don't carry more cash than you need. The goal is to carry enough that you're comfortable — not so much that losing a bag ruins the weekend.
Pack intentionally. Season your weekend.
