Can the GoBlow Pendant Be Worn in the Shower or Pool?

Quick answer: yes to shower, yes to pool, yes to ocean. machined stainless steel is the marine-grade alloy specifically used because it handles water without corroding.

Built for this? See machined stainless steel water resistance spec.

Shower

Fine. Daily showers don't damage machined stainless steel or PVD coatings. Soap and shampoo residues can dull the finish slightly over time — give it a wipe down with a microfibre cloth weekly to keep it bright.

Chlorinated pools

Fine for occasional swims. Chlorine isn't aggressive enough to damage machined stainless steel or PVD on short exposures. If you swim daily in chlorinated water, rinse the pendant in fresh water after each swim to extend the finish life.

Ocean / salt water

Designed for it. machined stainless steel is the marine-grade alloy used in dive watches and yacht hardware. Salt water won't pit or corrode it. Rinse with fresh water after a swim — not for the pendant's sake, but to prevent salt crystals building up in the threads.

Hot tubs / spas

Fine. The temperature is well below anything that affects steel.

The one water exception: salt water + sand together

Sand on a salty pendant can act like a mild abrasive. If you're at the beach, take the pendant off before you sit in the sand or roll in shallows. Or just rinse thoroughly afterwards.

Drying the threads matters

The threaded closure can hold a tiny amount of water inside if you don't dry it. After heavy water exposure, unscrew the pendant briefly, shake out water, leave to dry on a towel for a few hours before re-closing. This applies to all threaded jewellery, not just GoBlow.
