The minimal-carry rule

Every extra item is a liability. It can be lost, dropped, stolen, searched, drained, or forgotten. The smart move isn't to bring more — it's to bring less and carry it better.

On the body — the must-haves

Pendant on chain. Body-locked carry. Can't fall out of a pocket. Not searched at the door.
Phone. Charged to 100% before you leave. Uber, wallet, tickets loaded.
One card. Just one. Tap-and-go. Leave the rest home.
Cash (optional). A folded note for coat checks or cash bars.

Hip pack — only if you're using one

House keys only.
Lip balm.
Earplugs.
Small battery pack (5,000mAh).

What to leave home

Main wallet. One card and your phone replace it.
Multiple cards. If one is compromised, you don't want to lose the rest with it.
Anything irreplaceable. Wrong night for it.
Anything bladed. You will get caught at the door.

The pendant's role in the checklist

Uber booked before you need it. Surge pricing at 2am is the tax for not planning.
Address loaded before you lose signal. Drop the next venue's address into your phone before you leave the first.
