The NYE carry problem

Whatever you bring at 6pm, you're stuck with at 1am. Bags get heavy and tagged. Wallets get stolen in dense crowds. Phones die. Keys fall out of pockets when you're packed shoulder-to-shoulder watching fireworks.

And every venue, vantage point, and bar between dinner and midnight has a different door policy. The carry that gets you into a fancy harbourside dinner has to work at a free outdoor event four hours later.
